That is not a white bathing suit. I repeat, that is not a white bathing suit. It is in fact a tan line. A very dark, very pronounced tan line that is making me feel like I have X-Ray vision. And, I gotta say, it’s really working for me.
There a few things that I wait for with bated breath every year: the Pirelli Calendar, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, and the ESPN Body Issue. I especially love the ESPN Body Issue because it features women and body types that hardly ever get their fifteen minutes in the limelight.
It’s kind of sad that the only way we can appreciate female athletes is when they’re nude, but then again… they are nude so that kind of makes up for that. It makes sense. Trust. Don’t worry your silly little head about it. It’s all good.
I’m a woman, you see, and a card carrying feminist too, so it’s okay if I objectify other women. It’s all part of the circle of life. That is precisely what Mufasa was trying to explain to young Simba with a little help from his friend Elton John. Hakuna Matana.
